Our team is expanding, and we are currently seeking a talented In-House Architectural Technician to contribute to our innovative and dynamic projects.

Job Overview: As an In-House Architectural Technician at DX Home Improvements, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and seamless execution of our construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in home renovation, possess the ability to submit planning applications and building warrants, and demonstrate strong project management skills to oversee jobs from design to completion.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Design:

Collaborate with the Head of Operations and construction teams to create innovative and functional design concepts for home improvement projects.

Develop detailed architectural plans, elevations, and specifications.

Planning Applications and Building Warrants:

Prepare and submit planning applications and building warrant applications as required for each project.

Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Material Selection:

Work closely with the Head of Operations to select appropriate materials based on design specifications and project requirements.

Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative materials into design concepts.

Project Management:

Oversee the entire project lifecycle from design to completion.

Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

Coordinate with construction teams and external contractors to ensure successful project execution.

Coordination with Construction Teams:

Collaborate with construction teams to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of design plans.

Provide on-site support to address any design-related issues during the construction phase.

Client Interaction:

Engage with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements.

Present and explain design concepts to clients in a clear and compelling manner.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular reviews of construction work to ensure adherence to design specifications.

Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in residential design and home renovation projects.

Proficient in architectural software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).

Strong knowledge and experience in submitting planning applications and building warrants.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Project management experience, overseeing projects from design through to completion.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £34,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
